DJ Yazi

A Tokyo DJ active since the mid-90s, part of the avant-garde hip hop collective Think Tank and its label Black Smoker Records. DJ Yazi has held a residency at the party El Nino for two decades, and as Twin Peaks with Haruka improvises across the line between live and DJ sets. The styles move freely, but the deep, tripped-out groove at the centre never does.
