群馬県桐生市を拠点とする2人組、どんぐりずが主催するダンスミュージックフェスティバル。2023年から駅前のロータリーでDIYスタイルで開催され、3回目となる2026年は、桐生の象徴・新川公園へと会場を移した。開催日の8月8日、街は一年で最も熱くなる。市内中心部を歩行者天国にして開かれる「桐生八木節まつり」の真っ只中。巨大な櫓を囲み、太鼓と唄と手拍子が幾重にも重なり、街全体がトランス状態に包まれていく。会場からまつりの中心までは徒歩5分。Shinichi Osawa、Soichi Terada、JUN INAGAWAらジャンルも世代も超えた13組が、八木節の鳴る街で自由なグルーヴを鳴らす。民謡とダンスミュージックが交差する、真夏の一日だ。

A dance music festival organized by Donguriz, the duo based in Kiryu, Gunma. Held DIY-style in the rotary in front of the station since 2023, the third edition in 2026 moves to Shinkawa Park, a symbol of Kiryu. On August 8, the day of the festival, the town runs hotter than at any other time of year. It falls right in the thick of the Kiryu Yagibushi Matsuri, when the city center is closed off to traffic and given over to the crowds. Around a towering yagura, drums, voices and clapping hands pile up in layer after layer until the whole town slips into a trance. It's a five-minute walk from the festival site to the heart of the matsuri. Shinichi Osawa, Soichi Terada, JUN INAGAWA and ten more acts — thirteen in all, crossing genres and generations — will lay down their own free-flowing grooves in a town ringing with yagibushi. A midsummer day where folk song and dance music intersect.
