Re:birth Festival

Launched in 2013, this open-air festival flies the banner of Underground Music, Art & Technology. Futtsu Cape, a quarry, a highland resort, a ski slope — and beyond that, South Korea, Koh Phangan in Thailand, even a total solar eclipse festival in the United States. Shifting its stage to a different environment each time, it has continued to broadcast Japan's own distinct rave culture to the world. For 2026, its first edition in roughly two and a half years, it heads to Kodama no Mori in Kiso, Nagano — a site that holds the memories of countless open-air festivals. Eleven acts arrive from overseas, including Rrose, who maintains an unwavering commitment to anonymity and experimentation, and Mathew Jonson, who takes on a B2B live set with SODEYAMA. Germany's RE:SORB will project massive holograms onto Kiso's natural mist. With techno, house and trance at its core, more than 80 acts in total gather in a new forest.
