Wonderfruit Kyoto

タイで11年続いてきた Wonderfruit が、国外で初めて開く企画。定員は100名に絞られる。単一の会場を持たず、Ohara Sanso、ACG Villa Kyoto、鞍馬山、Ochill TeaRoom と京都の各所を移動しながら進む。 軸に置かれているのは「妙」という日本の思想。日常のなかに静かに宿る非日常を見出す構えとして説明されている。4日間は Arrival / Silence、Attunement / Sensitivity、Encounter、Realization の4つの楽章に分けられる。出演者は公表されていない。公式が示すのは artisans, practitioners and artists という記述だけ。誰が来るかではなく、どう過ごすかが先に示される。

The first edition of Wonderfruit staged outside Thailand, where the festival has run for eleven years. Capacity is capped at 100 guests. There is no single site: the four days move between Ohara Sanso, ACG Villa Kyoto, Kurama Mountain and Ochill TeaRoom, across Kyoto. The organising idea is Myo, a Japanese philosophy described here as finding the extraordinary living quietly inside the ordinary. The programme is divided into four movements, one per day: Arrival and Silence, Attunement and Sensitivity, Encounter, Realization. No lineup has been published. The official language goes no further than artisans, practitioners and artists. What is offered in advance is not who will appear, but how the time is shaped.
