「A Peak Experience」を掲げ、音を鳴らす場ではなく、時間をかけて編み上げられていく体験としてフェスティバルを設計してきた。会場の nowhere CAMP は安達太良山の麓、沼尻高原にあり、山と温泉に囲まれている。この場所での開催は3年目になる。 2026年は31組が出演する。Lena Willikens、Jane Fitz、Vladimir Ivkovic といった欧州の選曲家に、Sunju Hargun、dj sniff、そして悪魔の沼や鏡民といった日本語名義が並ぶ。欧州の実験性、アジアの感性、日本各地の土着的なローカルシーンをひとつの流れとして繋ぐという編成方針が、そのままラインナップに出ている。東北在住者向けの割引券種も設けられている。

Rural is built around a single idea: not a place where music is played, but an experience assembled slowly over time. Its stated aim is a peak experience. The site, nowhere CAMP, sits on the Numajiri plateau at the foot of Mount Adatara in Fukushima, surrounded by mountains and hot springs. 2026 marks the third edition held here. Thirty-one acts are booked. European selectors including Lena Willikens, Jane Fitz and Vladimir Ivkovic appear alongside Sunju Hargun, dj sniff, and Japanese-language projects such as Akuma no Numa and Kyomin. The programming brief is to connect European experimentalism, Asian sensibility and Japan's own regional scenes into one continuous flow, and the lineup reads exactly that way. A discounted ticket tier exists for residents of the Tohoku region.
