【H2 2026】Asian Music Festivals & Raves: The Full Rundown
From the tail end of summer through to the year's close, Asia's open-air scene never lets up.
Seoul promoters hauling their sound into the mountains for a camp-in, a colossal rave filling a stadium in Ulaanbaatar, a first-ever gathering high in the Himalayas, an eco-farm in the Balinese highlands, and a Hong Kong open-air marking its tenth anniversary.
From East Asia to Southeast Asia and South Asia, here are 14 hand-picked Asian music festivals and raves selected by TECHNO JAPAN. Every one of these floors is just a two- to six-hour flight from Japan.
Fingerprints Summer Camp
The camping edition from Fingerprints, the Seoul-based promoter that has built up a run of techno and house parties in the capital. Three days in which the booking instincts honed on city floors are transplanted straight into the mountains at summer's end. Details drop via Instagram as they go, so if you're thinking of making the trip, start by following the official account.

OFFICIAL ↗KHARKHORUM Festival
Mongolia's largest open-air electronic and visual art festival. The theme of this fourth chapter is "TIME," with a 300-metre stage billed as the biggest in Asia going up in Ulaanbaatar's central stadium, turning the venue into a 360-degree panoramic space built from light and interactive media art. This edition also marks the festival's first collaboration with electronic music outlet Mixmag Lab. It's the moment the rave scene of the steppe steps onto an international scale.

OFFICIAL ↗Thevault_Rave
A closed one-nighter from Taiwanese rave crew Thevault. This edition, "V4ULT$YNDR0M," promises to briefly unseal an underground vault that has been locked up for 30 years and repurpose it as a dancefloor. The location stays secret, and entry is limited to the 200 people who register via the official form — which closes the moment capacity is reached. It's exactly the kind of location-as-protagonist design you'd expect from the crew behind "URBAN LEGEND," their rave in an abandoned building. If you want in, this is a party you act on the second you see the announcement.

OFFICIAL ↗TOR festival
Heading south from Seoul, a camp-in set at a campsite in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. Pitch a tent on the final weekend of August and see summer out with house and techno. Mid-sized camp-in raves like this have been popping up all over the Korean open-air scene this summer, and TOR is one worth keeping on your radar as part of that wave.

OFFICIAL ↗ĀKĀŚA
A first-time gathering in Ladakh, high in the Himalayas. The name "Ākāśa" is Sanskrit for sky, or ether, and the festival takes as its theme the balance of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. Music runs across three stages, spanning folktronica, electronica, downtempo and sounds rooted in local tradition. The lineup includes Germany's Fejka, Iranian hand percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, Gonno from Japan, Tresor resident Chloe Lula and Ladakh-born Ruhail Qaisar. Running alongside the music is "Stillness," a programme of quiet — treating dancing and coming to a halt as equally weighted.

Zhao Dai On Leave
One of China's biggest beachside electronic festivals, launched in 2020 by Beijing club Zhao Dai. The concept is simple: the club's whole community goes "on leave" to the seaside, with the floor built on the coast of Hebei Province. This is the sixth edition. Long a fixture in May, it shifts to early autumn in September for 2026. If you want to feel where the Chinese underground stands right now, start here.

OFFICIAL ↗TRICO
TRICO is short for "TRIP IN COSMIC" — a brand-new festival debuting at High1, the ski resort tucked into the mountains of Gangwon Province. A high-altitude resort in early autumn makes for a location unlike anything else on the Korean open-air calendar. If you're after the atmosphere only a first edition can deliver, put it on the shortlist.

OFFICIAL ↗KAJE Arts & Music
A debut gathering named after "KAJE," the word for the sacred mountainward direction in Balinese cosmology. The site is Bagus Agro Pelaga, an 18-hectare working eco-farm in Bali's central highlands with views of Mount Agung, Mount Abang and Mount Batur. The booking policy is explicitly "Asia-first," drawing almost entirely on artists from the region rather than the international touring circuit. Daytime brings live sets, ambient, disco and Indonesian rare groove; from sunset until sunrise it's house and techno. A boutique-scale affair with capped numbers, showing a side of Bali that has nothing to do with beach clubs.

OFFICIAL ↗GAIA Festival
A two-day gathering in Raison, a village on the banks of the Beas River in the Himalayan foothills. More than 50 artists appear across five stages, with art, wellness and riverside rituals woven into the programme alongside the music. In October, daytime temperatures here sit at 18–22°C, dropping to around 12°C at night. Together with ĀKĀŚA, it's evidence that India's mountain festivals are coalescing into a scene of their own.

Thailand's flagship celebration of digital art and electronic music. Built on three pillars — performance, exhibition and education — it has, since its 2023 debut, brought in figures at the cutting edge of audiovisual work such as Nonotak, 404.Zero, Nosaj Thing & Daito Manabe, Caterina Barbieri and Ryoichi Kurokawa. For 2026 it lands at Cloud11, Bangkok's creative hub. Two days to bookmark as a laboratory for sound and image.

OFFICIAL ↗Shi Fu Miz
Hong Kong's definitive open-air festival turns ten. It began on Mui Wo beach on Lantau Island, spent six years on Cheung Chau, and now unfolds in a sprawling eco-park ringed by lychee trees in Tai Tong, Yuen Long. Running from noon to 4am the following morning, seamlessly carrying day into night, a single edition is a microcosm of everything the Hong Kong scene has cultivated over the past decade. Worth experiencing once, not least for that uniquely Hong Kong sense of escaping the city's density in half an hour.

The fifth edition, held at a jungle art camp in Chiang Dao, north of Chiang Mai. Four floors — a main stage centred on live bands, a jungle stage with DJs from morning to evening, a psytrance area, and a grounding stage for ambient and experimental music — all built around the idea of music and art connected like mycelium. No conversation about Southeast Asian festival culture happens without it. Launched in 2014, it raises a five-day city across The Fields, a vast site on the outskirts of Pattaya, cutting across music, art, sustainability, wellness and gastronomy. Even now that it draws some 25,000 people from over 140 countries, it feels less like a large-scale festival than an experimental city. In 2026 it starts a week earlier than usual, on 3 December. The case for closing out the Asian year on this particular field grows more persuasive every time.

Overseas festivals are more prone to date and venue changes than those at home. Always check the official channels for the latest information before committing to travel. Visa and entry requirements, as well as local payment infrastructure, vary by country and region. In mountain areas — Ladakh, Himachal, Chiang Dao, Gangwon — mornings and evenings get seriously cold, so packing on the same assumptions as a Japanese autumn festival may not cut it.
Alongside the official channels, we'll be tracking lineup announcements and ticket news as they land on TECHNO JAPAN's Instagram . See you on a dancefloor somewhere in Asia!
