A DIY party dancing straight through a summer weekend in the woods of Sanda, Hyogo

It kicks off at noon on August 22 and runs until the afternoon of the 23rd. "BON DISCO," an independent DIY party built entirely by its own crew, marks its 13th summer at Sanda Athletic Park in Sanda, Hyogo.

What is BON DISCO

An independent DIY party built with their own hands. Surrounded by abundant nature, it aims to be a space where anyone can be released from the everyday to the fullest — and in 2026 it reaches its 13th year.

It leans on neither big capital nor trends. The relationships BON DISCO has built over 13 years are, quite literally, the shape this party takes.

A forest-and-pool location, far from the city's heatwave

The venue is Sanda Athletic Park in Sanda, Hyogo — the second year running, following last year. The tree-lined setting itself shapes the experience of this party.

One of its draws is the pool area. There are two pools — a standard one for a leisurely cool-down and a shallow one where small children can play safely — plus shower facilities. This year there will be no sauna and no poolside DJs; instead, it opens as a purely relaxing space where you can quietly feel the breath of the forest.

Cool a body worn out from dancing in the water, then head back to the sound. That round trip is how you spend a midsummer BON DISCO.

Nearly 40 acts gather across two carefully crafted floors.

Two floors built around a commitment to high-quality sound guide you into a deeper, more immersive musical experience. The lineup features nearly 40 artists, centered on Kansai but coming in from across the country.

Outside the floors, Naoko hosts yoga sessions, while 電子原人, 佐々木ビル (Yabar食堂 & 太陽の村) and Vamos Tacos serve up food. Music, rest and eating all run seamlessly together within the same forest.

INFORMATION

Admission is ¥7,000. Free for those 18 and under.

The entrance fee is all you pay — there are no charges whatsoever for parking, tents or pool use. Only those wishing to stay in the paid lodges need to make an advance reservation directly with Sanda Athletic.

Dance, cool off, dance again.
At the end of that cycle lies a 13th summer.
