Held over three days from September 25 at Sky Lodge Ginga-mura and Nakagoya Astronomical Observatory, deep in the mountains of Misato Town, Miyazaki Prefecture. Counting from the inaugural "zeroth" edition in 2024, this is year three — Chapter 2 of a story conceived to unfold across ten installments. This year's chapter is titled "RE:ROOTS," spotlighting artists from Kyushu in an edition tied to recovery support for the Kumamoto earthquake.

What is Odyssey
A ten-year journey connecting "past, present and future" through music. Crossing generations, regions and genres, people who have each walked their own path come together once more amid music and nature. Music, nature, people, food, play, culture. In a place where all of it blends together, people who would never otherwise have met find each other.
Underground and overground. Veterans and the next generation. Kyushu and the rest of the country. Erasing the boundaries between them to build a "bridge" toward the next culture. Friends reunited after twenty years, joined by a new generation.

A chapter that roots itself deeply in the origin
Chapter 2's theme is "RE:ROOTS." It's a chapter about carrying the sounds, people, atmosphere and culture nurtured in Kyushu forward into the next era, driving roots deep into the origin.
And this edition is tied to recovery support for the Kumamoto earthquake. Advance tickets have all been set at a single price of ¥10,000, with a portion of the proceeds going toward recovery efforts. Donation boxes will be placed throughout the site, and after the event the team plans to travel to the affected areas. "Connections born in Kyushu, for Kyushu." That meaning, too, is layered into the words RE:ROOTS.
A forest floor and a starlit floor
The stage is Sky Lodge Ginga-mura and Nakagoya Astronomical Observatory, set roughly 1,000m above sea level in the mountains of Misato Town in northern Miyazaki. The view sweeps across the Kyushu Mountains, and on clear nights the sky fills with stars. In this third year, both venues will be used to their fullest for the first time.
Surrounded by forest and mountains, Ginga-mura hosts the FOREST FLOOR. Some 2km away at the observatory is the STARDUST FLOOR, where you dance beneath the stars. The two sites are a 20-minute walk apart, with shuttle vehicles running every 20 minutes. Moving between day and night, forest and stars, you experience nature and music shifting together with the passing hours.
With the festival relocating to a new site from 2027, this year marks the final edition at Ginga-mura.

Over 50 acts from across Kyushu
Band live sets come from four acts: 暗黒ニラ, BRAINBREAKJAPAN, hou and Satoshi Fujise STB. Eight live-set acts include 愛染 AIZEN, KENJI TAKASHIMA and Shibuya Shiro. Then there are 34 DJs, among them DJ Fumi, DJ KENROU and TATA THE MONDAY. Every performer was chosen around the "ties" and "connections" that Odyssey has always held dear.
Sound is handled by YEBISU PRO and sound THETA, while the spaces are built by four teams: LUVLAB, YAMAGATAICHI, 凸野郎Aチーム and 崚山灯. VJs are HAPPYFILM Toshi and PCHA, live painting by Asuka, and fire performance by ちりん+きぇみ.

Three days, greeting the morning in the mountains
Odyssey is an outdoor music camp spanning three days in the mountains. To fully take in the morning light at the site, the mountain air, the night sky and the lingering resonance of the sound, tent camping is recommended as the standard way to stay. There are three tent sites: the upper and lower slopes within the FOREST FLOOR, and a free area on the STARDUST FLOOR side. In the morning, light pours in from beyond the mountains.
It doesn't end with the music. Yoga, a FREE PLAY ZONE, and fire performances at night. Morning, midday, evening, night — from sunset to sunrise, the scenery shifts little by little.
